Hi, I'm Kate and I started We are The Helpful because somewhere between new babies, burnout, peri, fresh starts, illness, heartbreak and loss, I realised how often we want to show up - but don’t know how.
The world keeps selling us gifts that fuel consumption, not connection. Pretty boxes and flowers that add to the noise, not ease it.
So I started researching, and have since had hundreds of conversations with women about what truly helped when life got real. Their answers built this.
My purpose is simple: to create a destination you can turn to when someone in your inner circle is going through it. An alternative gifting space - and a quiet companion - to help you show up thoughtfully, meaningfully, and remind them they’re never doing it alone.
Our gifting philosophy is to make her feel seen, supported, and loved - to meet her in the messy middle and hold her hand. Because that’s what we do for the people we love. And I’m here to help.

Working so closely with Kate to build her vision for We Are The Helpful, we talked more intimately about her experience of losing her mum than we might have otherwise. Her words were as ever poignant, honest, and reflective, but this simple, disarming phrase struck me as so universally relatable.
