The first weeks after a baby arrives tend to come with a lot of attention.
The months afterwards? Less so. That's one reason we chose The Full Postpartum Set.
It's The SABI's most comprehensive postpartum collection, combining three whole-leaf herbal blends with one simple face-and-body moisturiser.
Mama Recover contains oat straw, lady's mantle, raspberry leaf, stinging nettle, holy basil and hibiscus, and has been created around postpartum balance and replenishment.
The Breastfeeding Herbal Blend combines vervain, cinnamon, fennel, moringa, oat straw, stinging nettle, cardamom and holy basil. It's designed specifically for breastfeeding mothers and the additional demands of lactation.
The Calm brings together oat straw, lavender, chamomile, passionflower and lemon balm for the evenings when she's exhausted but her brain hasn't received the memo.
Then there's the Prebiotic Moisturiser - one product for face and body, formulated for skin that feels dry, tight, dull or more sensitive after birth.
The collection has been developed with practitioner input including an OB-GYN, nutritionist, master herbalist and microbiologist.
It's postpartum care built around the mother, rather than another thing for the baby (and we love that).
Because postpartum doesn't end when the visitors stop coming.
Her body is still recovering. Feeding can take an enormous amount out of her. Sleep can be unpredictable. Skin can suddenly decide it no longer recognises products it's happily tolerated for years.
And somewhere amongst all of that, she's expected to look after herself too.
This set makes that last part a little easier.
Different products for different days, without handing her an elaborate wellness routine to maintain.
Put the kettle on. Make the tea. Use the cream. Done.
Includes:
The SABI recommends using Mama Recover and the Breastfeeding Blend across a total of 3–4 days per week rather than every day, with up to two infusion bags on the days they're used. The blends can be alternated. The Calm can be enjoyed as needed.
Brew the herbal blends covered in freshly boiled water. Mama Recover and Breastfeeding: 10–15 minutes. The Calm: follow its individual brewing guidance. Enjoy warm or iced.
This is the most comprehensive SABI postpartum gift we've selected, and we'd choose it when you want the gift itself to do quite a lot of the showing up.
What convinced us wasn't simply that there are four products in the set. It's that each has a different job.
We noticed the practical details too. The teas work iced as well as warm. The moisturiser does face and body. There are no sizes, shades or baby preferences to get wrong.
And every single thing is for her.
If this feels more substantial than the moment calls for, we've deliberately selected smaller options from The Sabi, too. Spending less doesn't mean caring less.
But for a partner, daughter, sister or close friend when you want to send proper postpartum care for her, we'd start here.
This is a substantial gift: she'll receive all four products in the Full Postpartum Set together - Mama Recover, Breastfeeding, The Calm and the Prebiotic Moisturiser.
When it'll leave: The SABI currently states that this set ships from the UK within 1–2 working days. Their published domestic delivery guidance is typically 5–7 business days, and tracking is provided once an order has shipped.
You can send it directly to her or have it delivered to you first if you're giving it in person. And remember to add a personal note - you can do this at checkout.
If this is part of a bigger WATH gift, our complimentary Gift Itinerary can bring the different deliveries together - what you've chosen, why, and when she can expect each one.
Because several parcels can still feel like one very considered act of showing up.
The herbal blends are suitable for breastfeeding mothers when consumed as directed but shouldn't be consumed during pregnancy. The SABI also advises against use while taking hormonal birth control.
If she has a medical condition, takes medication or has questions about whether a blend is appropriate for her, The SABI recommends checking with a healthcare professional.
Patch test the moisturiser before first use.
