Meet Dani, Author of 'About Hedgehog' and Founder of Eco-able

Curating ‘About Hedgehog’ by Dani Seatter is quite personal for me.

It's a book that means we've lost someone we love, but it's also a book that when we receive it, it comes with a real sense of gratitude and feels like a knowing exchange from another who really understands what we're going through.

A beautiful example of ‘being met where we’re at' by another.

I know this because Dani (Author of ‘About Hedgehog’ and Founder of Eco-able) generously sent this book to me after hearing about the loss of my beautiful Mum, knowing I was finding it really hard to find the words to explain it to my young daughter who was FULL of questions.  I simply didn't have the capacity or knowledge of how to talk about it properly with her.

When we talk about helpful, heartfelt gifts for the inner circle, it's hard to go past gifts like this.

So, let's get to know Dani and Eco-able a little better - enjoy x

Hi Dani, introduce yourself!

I’m Dani and I’m an award winning children’s author and founder of award winning sustainable brand Eco-Able.

Why did you start Eco-able?

I started Eco-Able after a conversation with my sister about plastic free July, we were both frustrated by the difficulties in finding great sustainable products in one place and it occurred to me that I could do something about that. So I decided to set up Eco-Able to provide tried and tested products to help people like me live more sustainably.

Tell us more about Eco-able

Eco-Able is a sustainable brand which specialises in sourcing and creating sustainable products for families. We take time to source the right products, allowing families to feel confident that they are being mindful of the planet as well as getting what is best for their families. We specialise in creating both heirloom products, such as our reusable advent calendars and educational ones, like our sustainably made children’s books.

What was the most thoughtful and helpful gift you've received?

Over the years I’ve received some beautiful gifts from friends and loved ones, the most special of these are always the ones that someone has thoughtfully bought or made for me. There’s something so special about choosing gifts with someone specific in mind.

How would you describe your inner circle?

Thoughtful, understanding, accepting and nurturing
